OBLI:K
OBLI:K  [ɘ’bli:k] transversal, indirect, not parallel
Mus in Pice in old latin means literally  Mouse in the Trap.
It is an expression of the French philosopher Montaigne that we use to describe metaphorically the no-exit condition of Man, the anthropocentric situation as an handicap with no solution...

The performance created by OBLI:K changes from time to time and its constant value is represented by a unique dialogue between fragile elements.  Objects, paper of different kind, steam, metal thread, balons, and any other sort of recycled material find a role in the performance moving as silent actors.
Music/Sound gives the psychologic time-line to that.
Images are projected to the walls and sounds move in space by means of a 4 channel system with 2 subwoofers.
The public seat in an elliptic circle around the performers an the objects, while sound comes from around. The perception of the entire work is not comparable to that of a cinema projection (like in the case of Tiro Al Fantoccio) .  Gestures, objects, space, light and sound come together in a way that breaks the traditional time-line based perception.

OBLI:K is a group of visual and sound artists based in Barcelona working with different medias and forms. Drawing, projections, photography, film, sound-art, music, text and performance are the main techniques used by OBLI:K.
The narrative, if we can call it so, is based on the spontaneous dialogue between the objects/shadows. Sound take an important part as a link and as an aural interpretation of what is seen.
Since 2000 Riccardo Massari Spiritini (Verona 1966), Oriol Vilapuig (Sabadell 1964) and later Mim Juncà (Girona 1959) are working together realizing performances where sound and visual art form a whole unit.
